Past weekend the Dutch indoor nationals toke place in Amsterdam, and again the team woosh archers stormed the podium and dominated the field.

In the compound mens category it was a clean sweep for team woosh! Mike Schloesser toke the Gold, where Sander Dolderman toke silver in a 4 sets final. In the bronze final it where Peter Elzinga and Ruben Bleyendaal fighting for the remaining medal. Peter showed no mercy and claimed the bronze. Mike was shooting the woosh Trophy strings, Ruben and Sander where shooting the woosh 452x strings and Peter was shooting the woosh Astroflight strings.

 

In the recurve men’s category it was cadet Sjef van den Berg who toke the top spot, storming up to the podium shooting big scores, no one was able to stop this youngster. Woosh shooter Jesher Appels, Sjef’s cadet rival, toke the silver medal in this senior event. Sjef and Jesher both shoot the woosh 8125 recurve strings.

In the compound woman’s category it was again Inge van Caspel that toke the highest spot on the podium, making this her first national title of the year. Inge is shooting the woosh 452x compound strings.

Woosh Archery | The string that makes the difference!

The past week the World Indoor Championships toke place in Las Vegas nevada. At this tournament Woosh prostaffers showed they belong amongst the best in the world showing some outstanding performances. Runa Grydeland (Norway) joined our Pro-staff several months ago and at the first big tournament she shot with her new Woosh Strings she showed she can defeat the best in the world, claiming her first World Championship title in the Womans Junior devision. Sjef van de Berg was one of our Pro-staff juniors that participated in Las Vegas shot some great matches giving him a spot in the arena to shoot for the Championship title. after some tight sets the match ended up in a close to the center shoot-off where Sjef missed the gold medal on 1 mm. Outstanding performance of this young and upcoming archer. Better watch this one for the future!! In the compound woman category it was Pro-staff shooter Inge van Caspel that toke the silver medal, after defeating one of the top favorites Christie Colin in the 1/2 final. On the 2nd and 3rd of December the first edition of Face 2 Face UK will be held in Telford, near Birmingham. 5 Woosh Archery Pro shooters will attend this tournament and try to claim victory at this international tournament. With the indoor seasson just started, youngsters Mike Schloesser, Sjef van den Berg and Jesher Appels show that they are ready for the upcoming international events.
Mike Schloesser who recently joined the Woosh prostaff shot a new European Indoor record of 593, and 2 weeks later he breaks it again to a 594! This not only gives him the new European Record but also some very good qualification scores for the World Indoor Championships, that will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sjef van den Berg and Jesher Appels both still cadets and both woosh shooters, did some cat and mouse games during the start of the indoor season. At stake was the World Record for Cadets and juniors at 18mtrs 60arrows. In their competitions they both broke the record several times, but it was Jesher who kept one point stronger then Sjef. Past weekend Sjef showed everyone that he wasnt satisfied with anything less then the best and he broke the World Record again with a staggering 590!!
